Simple White Casalingo Salami Pizza
Ingredients
100-150 gm Casalingo Salami
1 Cup Grated Cheddar
½ Cup Grated Mozzarella
Black Pepper, to serve
White Sauce
1 tbls Plain Flour
1 tbls Butter
1 ½ Cups Milk
Pinch of Sea Salt
¼ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Pizza Dough
1 + ½ Cups Plain Flour
1 tsp Dried Yeast
tsp Sugar
½ tsp Sea Salt
½ Cup Warm Water
Cooking Method
To prepare the pizza dough, combine the warm water, sugar and yeast in a jug, stir and set aside in a warm place until bubbles form. In a food mixer (using the dough hook) place the flour and sea salt, mixing slowly, add the water and yeast mix, mix until the dough has come together.
Cover with a damp tea towel, set aside for 30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size. Once proved remove from bowl, portion into two pieces, roll out on a floured board.
To make the white pizza sauce, in a saucepan over a medium heat melt the butter, once melted add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes while stirring. Add the milk slowly whisking as you go until combined and the consistency is smooth, season with sea salt and allow the sauce to thicken.
Remove from the heat and stir in he grated the parmesan.
Spoon a layer of the white sauce onto the bases, top with grated cheddar and mozzarella cheese,
place the sliced salami over the pizzas. Cook in a pizza oven or on a pizza stone in the oven at 200℃ or until the bases are golden brown and the toppings cooked.
To serve, grind over some black pepper.
