Our Story

David Mansfield first opened The Cheesemonger in November of 2009, at that time being a small kiosk out front of Woolworths. Spreading a love for Cheese making throughout Adelaide it was not until 2014 that we moved to a larger store within Marion Shopping Centre. In 2021 the Barossa Fine Foods group acquired The Cheesemonger and continue to operate the store unchanged, (except we now stock more of your favourite Barossa Fine Foods Products!)

From that small kiosk to now holding over 700 products, The Cheesemonger has expanded to include an enormous range of cheese and vegan cheese, smallgoods, chocolate & confectionary, baked breads, pastries as well as pantry staples and delicious goodies to add to your cheeseboards. We stock products from brands such as Grunds Gourmet, Matchetts, Linds Honey, Birkeys Fine foods, Woolmores, Baylies, Barossa Fine Foods and so many more… Just come in store and see!

We make a select range of products in store, from our own cheeses, freshly made pizzas and dukkah to baked goods, like our Almond and Butter Croissants, Ciabatta Rolls, Pretzels and Portuguese tarts. there’s a little something for everyone here at The Cheesemonger.
